Emergency Alarm Activation
How does it work?
A simple press and hold of the SOS button activates the mCareWatches emergency sequence. You can choose who the MediFone calls, whether it’s a list of known emergency contacts or a 24/7 professional monitoring company. In either scenario, those who you trust in an emergency will receive your GPS location to help them find you.

Lifetime Support & Customisation
Please note that the mCareWatch is not a Guardian product. Ongoing support is provided by mCare, we are simply their partner and an mCareWatch distributor.
If you need after-sales support from mCare, they will provide this to you for life and this includes any reprogramming and customisation for the watch.
Note:  mCare does not offer refunds as part of their policy unless the watch is defective. We can request a partial refund from mCare for changes of mind but nothing is guaranteed.
Receiving and Using Your mCareWatch
1. Set up and Tested
Each device is personally set up and tested by an mCareWatch representative. These settings can be changed by them remotely for free as part of their lifetime service that comes with your mCareWatch.
2. Delivered from Australia
Once testing is complete, they deliver it from their office in QLD.
3. Turn on & test
After it arrives, we strongly recommend you turn it on right away and perform a test to make sure it works how you’d like it to.
4. Press SOS to Activate
In an emergency or whenever testing, it’s simple; press and hold the SOS button until the device activates the emergency sequence. Drop the device from chest height onto a soft surface to perform a fall detection test.
5. Press SOS to Cancel
If it’s ever activated by accident, pressing the SOS button a second time will cancel the emergency sequence.
6. Wear & Charge
Like a seatbelt, you never want to have an emergency but you put it on during every journey. Similarly, we suggest to wear the mCareWatch whenever alone. Charge it every day to ensure it always remains charged (no need to turn off the mCareWatch except when flying).

Easily switched on or off, there are 6 sensitivity settings. The mCareWatch can also be customised to only have fall detection turned on during certain times of the day.
If the device senses what may have been a fall, a call is made to emergency contacts, similar to the SOS button being pressed. The difference being that the voice prompt identifies the alarm as a fall alert. Since this personal alarm is worn on the wrist, fall detection is less effective compared to pendants. This is due to the fact that fall detection is based on acceleration being built up over a short period of time. Since the wrist/hand movement is less consistent and unpredictable during a fall, the automatic fall detection may be less likely to activate.
Note: Due to the varied nature of falls, some falls may not register. mCare can adjust the sensitivity for you if necessary. However, in the event of a fall, do not wait for the Fall Alert alarm sound but press and hold the SOS button if you are conscious.
The mCareWatch is smaller than many standalone smartwatches. Apple and Samsung both provide watches of similar size but need to paired with a phone when initially set up. The mCareWatch does not require the user to have a smartphone. Compared to other SOS standalone watches, the mCareWatch tends to boast a great range of features without compromising battery life or speaker quality. The ongoing costs may be higher for the mCareWatch but if you want quality and customisation, it’s worth it.
It’s best to charge the mCareWatch once a day. The battery can last more than a day but it depends on the user’s location. Areas with weaker GPS and/or cell signal may drain the battery faster.
