Power of a smartwatch, style of a pocket watch
Australia's Most Versatile Personal Alarm

The Guardian MediWatch provides voice prompts in ANY language.
Speed-dial Contacts
For non-emergencies, use the Contacts app to access your SOS list to call up to 10 contacts
(family monitoring only).
Versatility
The MediWatch can be worn as a traditional watch, on a lanyard, or on a brooch (pinned to clothing and looks like a pocket watch).
Showerproof
The device is showerproof but cannot be worn while swimming or in a bath.
Voice Prompts in Any language
The MediWatch will announce things like the SOS activation, fall detection, battery charging, etc. in the language of your choice.
Emergency Alarm Activation
How does it work?
A simple press and hold of the SOS button activates the MediWatch’s emergency sequence. You can choose who the MediWatch calls, whether it’s a list of known emergency contacts or a 24/7 professional monitoring company. In either scenario, those who you trust in an emergency will receive your GPS location to help them find you.
Please note that the SOS call system rings each contact one at a time with a message in between each call asking if the user wishes to cancel the SOS from calling through the list. This means it’s in the user’s hands to cancel the alert from calling the next contact.

Receiving and Using Your MediWatch
1. Set up and Tested by Us
Each device is personally set up and tested by a trained medical alert technician here at Guardian. These settings can be changed by us remotely for free as part of the lifetime service that comes with your MediWatch.
2. Delivered from our Office
Once testing is complete, we deliver it from our office according to your preference, whether you want to pick it up, use a local courier, or have it sent via Australia Post.
3. Turn on & test
After it arrives, we strongly recommend you turn it on right away and perform a test to make sure it works how you’d like it to.
4. Press SOS to Activate
In an emergency or whenever testing, it’s simple; press and hold the SOS button until the device activates the emergency sequence. It announces the activation with a voice prompt under our default settings.
5. Press SOS to Cancel
If it’s ever activated by accident, pressing the SOS button a second time will cancel the emergency sequence.
6. Wear & Charge
Like a seatbelt, you never want to have an emergency but you put it on during every journey. Similarly, we suggest to wear the MediWatch whenever alone. Charge it every day to ensure it always remains charged (no need to turn off the MediWatch except when flying).

If the device senses what may have been a fall, a call is made to emergency contacts, similar to the SOS button being pressed. The difference being that the voice prompt identifies the alarm as a fall alert. If worn on the wrist instead of on a lanyard or as a brooch, fall detection is less effective. This is due to the fact that fall detection is based on acceleration being built up over a short period of time. Since the wrist/hand movement is less consistent and unpredictable during a fall, the automatic fall detection may be less likely to activate.
Note: Due to the varied nature of falls, some falls may not register. We can adjust the sensitivity if necessary. However, in the event of a fall, do not wait for the Fall Alert alarm sound but press and hold the SOS button if you are conscious.
The mCareWatch is larger than the Apple and Samsung smartwatches but provides a greater level of protection due to the MediWatches protective casing. The MediWatch also does not need to paired with a phone when initially set up, it’s a standalone device.
The main advantages of the MediWatch are its simple interface, the inexpensive ongoing costs, having voice prompts in all languages, and belonging to a well known brand such as Guardian, committed to lifetime support for any of your ongoing needs.
It’s best to charge the MediWatch once a day. The battery can last more than a day but it depends on the user’s location. Areas with weaker GPS and/or cell signal may drain the battery faster.
